About the ESG Insider podcast

ESG Insider is an S&P Global podcast that takes you inside the sustainability issues shaping the business world today.

Through interviews and on-the-ground coverage of key events, co-hosts Lindsey Hall and Esther Whieldon bring insights into the rapidly evolving environmental, social & governance (ESG) landscape. Since launching in 2019, the podcast has featured interviews with financial institutions and corporate executives, academics, scientists, government officials, and leaders in the nonprofit and philanthropic space.

About the podcast co-hosts

Lindsey Hall is Global Head of ESG Thought Leadership at S&P Global Sustainable1, where she co-hosts the ESG Insider podcast. She leads the Sustainability Research Lab at S&P Global and is a steering member of the S&P Global Diversity Research Lab.

Lindsey got her start in financial journalism writing for Financial Times business publications in London before joining SNL Financial in 2010, where she spent a decade covering financial news and regulation as a reporter and editor. She holds a Master’s degree from the London School of Economics.

Esther Whieldon is a Senior Writer on the S&P Global Sustainable1 Thought Leadership Team where she co-hosts the ESG Insider podcast and is a member of the S&P Global Emerging Markets Research Lab.

Esther got her start in journalism as a general assignment newspaper reporter and has spent most of her career covering energy, policy and sustainability issues in the newsrooms of Politico, S&P Global Commodity Insights and S&P Global Market Intelligence. Esther has a Bachelor’s degree in journalism.
